Peer-to-Peer Fundraising
When you and your community tune in, everyone makes a difference. Your support makes a major impact. Will you join our online fundraising community?
Why Your Support Matters
KQED is a member-supported alternative to commercial media. More than half of our budget comes from fantastic folks like you contributing what they can to help us bring high quality news, entertainment and educational resources to the Bay Area and beyond. When you introduce your family and neighbors to the work and mission of KQED, you help us grow! Here are just a few ways your donations make a difference:
- Keeping more than 100 reporters, editors and producers at work bringing you news and entertainment 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- Supporting informative, Emmy award-winning series like Deep Look and Above the Noise
- Supporting democracy through the production of voting guides and live coverage of election events that meet rigorous standards for fact-driven reporting
- Championing youth media literacy by publishing over 1,000 student media pieces, featuring over 70 Bay Area youth voices in our annual Youth Takeover, and encouraging civic dialogue about topics including climate change and mental health in classrooms all over the country
- Providing thousands of educators with 4,250+ free media literacy training workshops
